One Step Closer
Two goaltenders, Andrew Takacs and Nick Beck, have come one step closer to playing in the USHL and NAHL this upcoming season.
Andrew posted a strong season in 19-20 with the NAHL Odessa Jackalopes. He attended main camp in Waterloo earlier this month and proved himself to be the strongest goaltender in camp. He will be 1 of 3 goaltenders to start the season with Waterloo. The USHL is set to begin play November 3rd. Takacs is a graduate of Gilmour Academy and was the number 1 goaltender for their 18U Prep team in '18-'19.
Nick Beck played last season in the CCHL (Ottawa, Ontario) and was a free agent this summer. Nick was a last minute invite to Youngstown Phantoms main camp in July and made a statement with his play. He was then invited to Maryland Blackbears camp August 10th. With over 20 goaltenders at main camp Nick was a standout and is now 1 of 3 goaltenders on the 30 man roster headed into the start of the season next month.
Nick was a member of the Cleveland Barons program for several years and played 18U AAA for them in 18-19.
Both goaltenders trained at our College Development Camp July 6-10 , 2020.
